The Holy Family of Nazareth
The Holy Family of Nazareth is celebrated on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year's Day. The purpose of this celebration is to offer Christian families a model that can enlighten them at all times and in all places.
To know and experience the true spirit of the Holy Family of Nazareth, many believers pray to them. Since the event is celebrated between two major Christian holidays (Christmas and Epiphany), prayers should flow very naturally. But this is not always the case. Sometimes the celebrations of the Holy Family are neglected, or even forgotten. However, it is an event just as important as Epiphany or New Year.
Family: The First Place to Grow Your Faith
The family is the first environment in which every individual evolves. It is the family that instills our values. It is the family that teaches us what is right and what is wrong. It is therefore also the first place where we develop our faith.
The Holy Family of Nazareth is a sacred figure because it is centered on Jesus. It is a unique family whose unity is based on love and trust in God. Mary and Joseph focus all their attention on Jesus, like any parent. But they are well aware that they are only simple guardians, the guardians of the son of God.
Despite the fact that Mary and Joseph were raising a divine being, all three of them grew up like any normal family. They were very closely connected to God. It is this permanent connection with the Creator that makes the Holy Family an inspiring model. The family conditions all aspects of a person's life. If a person has been able to grow up in a family that lives according to God's precepts, it will be easier for them to develop their faith. Some people even go so far as to say that the family is the first church. Children assimilate values ​​from their earliest years, and this until they leave the family to form their own. But as they get older, the family will have less and less influence on them. This is why they must be educated according to God's precepts from a very young age, and throughout their lives so that they instill these same values ​​in their own children.
