When to pray a prayer of protection?

There is no specific time to ask for God's protection . You can pray to Him at any time and in any circumstance. You can ask for God's protection in your daily life or in difficult times. You can ask for His grace to pour out on you and the people you love.

Illness is a very good opportunity to ask for God's protection. In difficult times like this, one needs to be comforted and to feel supported. Prayer is a very good way to regain strength. The sick person can address a prayer to the Lord so that he gives him strength and courage. His relatives can also pray for his speedy recovery.

Asking for God's protection is a normal thing for his followers. This gesture shows our willingness to get closer to the Creator.

    How to pray effectively?

Asking for God's protection is not as complicated as it seems. In fact, you just need to formulate a prayer and address it to Him. However, your request may not reach its destination if you do not pray in the right conditions.

For a prayer to be received, it must be done with sincerity . The ideal would even be to pray with a perfectly pure heart . When we pray, it is important that we are perfectly honest with ourselves. We must chase away all bad thoughts from our mind (these can come and disturb the connection).

This advice is even more valid if it is a prayer for protection. You must pray with sincerity if you want to get an answer quickly. Your wishes will be granted if God considers that it is good for you.

    Prayer for epidemics

“Lord our God, rich in mercy, You who care for us with wisdom and govern our lives, hear our prayer, accept our repentance for our sins, put an end to this new epidemic as You put an end to the punishment of the people in the time of King David. You, the Physician of our souls and bodies, grant healing to those who suffer from illness; raise them quickly from their beds of suffering so that they may glorify You, O merciful Savior; and also protect the healthy from all illness. Bless, strengthen and protect, Lord, by Your grace, all those who, out of love for men and a spirit of sacrifice, take care of the sick at home or in the hospital. Keep all illness and suffering away from Your people and teach us to appreciate life and health as gifts from You. Grant us your peace, Lord our God, and fill our hearts with unwavering faith in your protection, hope in your help, and love for you and our neighbor. For it is yours to have mercy on us and save us, O our God, and we give glory to you: Father and Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages! Amen!

    Prayer for the sick

"Physician of souls and bodies, it is with a contrite but hopeful heart that we cry to You: Heal the diseases of the soul and body of Your servants, NN., forgive them in Your goodness all their voluntary and involuntary sins, and restore them to health, we pray to You, hear us and have mercy on us."

Prayer for the healing of the sick

“Lord, almighty, holy king, punish and do not kill, affirm those who fall and rise again, the overthrown, bodily people of pain, correct, we pray to you, our God, visit your servant (name of the rivers) without power, by your mercy, forgive him every sin, voluntary and involuntary. To her, Lord, send down from heaven your healing power, touch the body, extinguish the fire, tame the passion and all the hidden infirmity, be the physician of your servant (name of the rivers), raise him from the painful bed and from the bed of bitterness, whole and all-perfect, grant him to your Church by pleasing and doing your will. Yours is to have mercy and save us, our God, and we send glory to you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever and forever and ever. Amen.”
